If there’s one piece I think every woman should have in her wardrobe this spring, it’s a colourful sneaker. It’s one of those underrated essentials that instantly changes how an outfit feels - a little fresher, a little more playful, and still completely effortless.
After what feels like endless seasons of classic white trainers ruling every wardrobe, adding a touch of colour feels like breathing new life into your style. It gives even the simplest jeans-and-tee combo that polished, intentional look, without ever trying too hard.
I like to think of the colourful sneaker as the easiest way to experiment with colour when you want to keep things wearable and practical.
So, here are is my ABC guide of how to introduce them into your daily wardrobe.
A — Accessories: Start by repeating the colour somewhere else in your outfit. It could be your bag, a bracelet, or a silk scarf that ties everything together. This small repetition makes the sneaker feel like a considered choice rather than a random pop of colour.
B — Best Colour: Pick a sneaker in your best or favourite shade, something that feels authentically you. It might be your signature burgundy, a soft powder blue, or a rich chocolate tone. When you truly love the colour, you’ll find yourself reaching for those sneakers again and again because they make you feel good.
C — Consistency: Once you’ve introduced colour through your sneakers, keep it consistent. Add other small touches in the same tone like a tank top, a button-up shirt, or even a lightweight cardigan you can throw over your shoulders. The more you repeat the colour, the more it becomes a natural part of your wardrobe story.
If your wardrobe leans neutral, this is such an easy way to bring in personality and energy without losing that clean, timeless feel.
A colourful sneaker gives your outfits just the right amount of interest while keeping things comfortable and grounded - the perfect mix of style and ease for spring.
